Datus International School is a wing of Datus Complex Schools focusing on international education through the IB and Cambridge curricula. We opened our doors to only 12 pupils on June 12, 1962, and have grown to serve 350+ students from ages 3-18. The school was founded to serve the needs of children in the Tema community and families attracted by our unique bilingual character and educational philosophy. As an IB World School, we implement the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students aged 3-11, which focuses on the development of the whole child, addressing social, physical, emotional and cultural needs while giving children strong foundations in all major areas of knowledge. We have successfully embarked on the journey as a recognized Cambridge IGCSE school. With the National Curriculum (BECE/WASSCE), IB PYP, and IGCSE, our students follow internationally recognized courses with external validation. Datus is an independent school rooted in philosophy and centered on the learner, nurturing a lifelong love of learning and preparing students to thrive as informed citizens in a dynamic world. Our inclusive community values diversity, upholds common decency, and promotes human dignity. We are proud that Datus is definitely a school of choice that has the most diverse community of learners in Ghana. The school offers both day and boarding facilities with comprehensive support services including counseling, health services, library, tutoring programs, and after-school activities.
